Stock Levels in Easy Insight

You can use Easy Insight to project inventory stock levels and to recreate historical stock levels at any point in time.

The inventory projections take into account the following factors:

  • Forecast demand based on your forecasting configuration
  • Committed (but not yet fulfilled) sales orders
  • Expected purchase orders
  • Planned manufacturing orders, both when the product is what's being produced and what the product is being used as a component in

If a committed order, purchase order, or planned production is scheduled for the past, it will automatically be moved to the current week or month.

Templates are available for looking at inventory projections per month and per week:

Purchase Amounts

If you want to pull in details such as Projected Incoming or Projected Produced by MOs, you can add the fields to the report from the Forecasting Projection Fields folder. The usual set of fields will be:

  • Projected Committed -- how many units are committed to sales orders?
  • Projected Needed for Planned MOs -- how many units are needed for manufacturing planned orders?
  • Projected On Hand -- how many units are estimated to be in stock at this time?
  • Projected Produced by Planned MOs -- how many units are estimated to be produced?
  • Projected Purchases Inbound -- how many units are estimated to be arriving from purchase orders?
  • Projected Sales -- how many other sales are forecast to be happening?
  • Projection Date -- the date field to use when building reports on projections

You can also recreate your stock levels at any historical point in time. You can recreate levels per location or across all locations. The reports are found under the Products section of your inventory dashboard:

Purchase Amounts

With this report, you can choose the date and filter down to whichever SKUs you want to see the stock level for to recreate what the stock was at that point in time. This report can be particularly useful for accounting purposes.
